It would be interesting to know if Mickey had received ketamine or any other dissociative agents during his dressing changes. Ketamine is beneficial in very sick patients because it does not suppress respiration, but is not usually used in adults because of the dissociative hallucinations. If he was gravely ill, they may have opted for it.
